Birth Photography

Frequently Asked Questions:

What hospitals do you travel to?

I serve the Hattiesburg area (Forrest General and Merit) but I am also willing to travel to Columbia or Laurel for a small travel fee as long as you contact me soon enough when you go into labor

When do you arrive for the birth?

I come to your birth during active labor (6-7 cms) and I will stay up to 2 hours afterwards.

Will you post my images online?

Yes! I will post a couple sneaks from your special day but I will wait until after you have shared a photo and announced the birth first

What if you don't make it to my birth in time?

Unless I am deathly ill, I will show! If there is an emergency c-section and I don't make it in time to capture that part then I will still be at the hospital to take photos of the rest of the birthing session (measuring baby, weighing baby, first bath, etc) If I miss your birth because you did not contact me in time or went into labor too fast then your birthing session will turn into a 48 hour session instead. There will be no refunds due to the nature of this type of session.

How long does it take before I get my images?

Please allow up to 2 weeks for me to edit your session depending on my schedule.

What if I am having a c-section?

Be sure to ask your doctor if it is ok to have a photographer in the OR and I will gladly come take photos in the OR. I am not allowed to get photos WHILE the doctor is performing surgery but we can still get photos of you seeing baby for the first time and all of the other shots I normally get after baby is born.

What if I don't want the actual labor photographed but I still want photos captured in the hospital?

Well you are in luck! I offer what I call a 48 Session. I will come to the hospital a day or 2 AFTER birth and capture lifestyle photos of you and your family with your newborn.
